About the Gasthaus Möslinger – about us

Located in the 2nd district of Vienna, not far from the Viennese Prater, the Gasthaus Möslinger is located in a quiet side street. Since 1989, the quaint and cozy Gasthaus in Stuwerstraße is all about the well-being of the guest.
The Gasthaus Möslinger has been run since the takeover 1989 by the family Taudes. Meanwhile, the second generation is preparing for the continuation of the restaurant operation.
"We see it as our mission to spoil our guests with the culinary variety of Austrian cuisine. Since it is quite logical that the products for the production must also come from Austria! "
At Gasthaus Möslinger you will find traditional Austrian cuisine with deep roots in the Waldviertel (region in Lower Austria). In addition to the classics, we also offer selected international highlights and long forgotten food.
Whether potatoes, fish, meat, dairy products, poppy, wine - the ingredients for the food, all come from Austria, a variety of them from the Waldviertel, mushrooms and herbs can be self collected. The delights regions in Austria offer us a diverse network of partners and certified sources for high-quality and above all regional products for the further processing in our kitchen.
Regular checks and active cooperation in the development of the delights regions are self-evident to us. Every year, the beneficiary of the year is selected among all participating companies. In 2012 and 2013 we were able to get the title for us. We have always been one of the clear finalists in every year.
But not only regionality and quality, but also seasonality plays an important role. Not only because it is perfectly clear to us that nature gives us a timetable, but because we can also offer a food variety during the year.
Of course, the selection on the menu changes regularly - depending on the season and availability of certain products. So our guests sometimes have a new food selection every 4 weeks. So in February there are fish, asparagus and strawberries in May, game and our particularly popular Waldviertler willow goose at the end of the year.
Of course, our "Wirtshausschmankerl" retain their place in each of our menus. For example, The Wiener Schnitzel, the Tafelspitz or the Rostbraten at any time in the Gasthaus Möslinger. These products not only form the basis of our menus, but also fulfill another task: the preservation of culinary heritage in Austria. Certified and checked by our own controls. For this we have received the AMA-Gastrosiegel.
